  • What do people really think of when they claim to believe in repressed memory? Methodological middle ground and applied issues

Olivier Dodier, Anne-Laure Gilet et al.•ARTICLE•Memory•2022

    305) using an integrative method taking into account recent methodological discussions, we found that, in total, 2458 participants (71% of the two combined samples) reported that they believed in repressed memory. In Study 1, based on separate questions on the whole group, we found 71% of agreement with the concept of repression, 74% with the concept of unconscious repression, and 54% with the concept of deliberate memory suppression. • Misinformation Effect in Aging

    Open Access•Marine Tessoulin, Jean‐michel Galharret et al.•ARTICLE•The Journals of Gerontology…•2019•Cited by: 1•References: 3

The equivalence test helped to clarify the contradictory results of the literature. Furthermore, such results show the interest to reconsider misinformation effect in aging

  • False Memories in Alzheimer’s Disease

Anne-Laure Gilet, Christelle Evrard et al.•ARTICLE•The Journals of Gerontology…•2016•References: 3

This study provides evidence that the low production of CLs regularly documented in Alzheimer's patients in the DRM paradigm is not necessarily explained by their nonactivation. The results are discussed in the light of the hypothesis of a rapid disappearance of the episodic mnemonic trace of the CLs in Alzheimer's patients

  • Intact Semantic Priming of Critical Lures in Alzheimer’s Disease

Christelle Evrard, Fabienne Colombel et al.•ARTICLE•The Journals of Gerontology…•2015•Cited by: 2•References: 1

Contrary to the existing literature, our results suggest that the activation of the CL is preserved in Alzheimer's patients at mild to moderate stages of the disease

  • Age-relevance of person characteristics

    Daniel Grühn, Anne-Laure Gilet et al.•ARTICLE•Developmental Psychology•2011•Cited by: 6•References: 8

The authors investigated normative beliefs about personality development. Young, middle-aged, and older adults indicated the age-relevance of 835 French adjectives by specifying person characteristics as typical for any age decade from 0 to 99 years. With this paradigm, the authors determined age-relevance (How typical is a characteristic for a given age decade?). Most characteristics were ascribed to young adulthood. The pattern differed across …
