  • Relevance of buffer zones in protecting World Heritage Sites (WHS) in urban contexts

Open Access•Anindita Dey, Ram Sateesh Pasupuleti•ARTICLE•Journal of Cultural Heritage…•2025

Purpose Buffer zones are tools to protect the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) of World Heritage Sites (WHS), whose delineation process depends on state parties. There is a lack of research on the concept and understanding of buffer zones, especially in the Indian context. The aim of this paper is to build a theoretical understanding of the concept and relevance of buffer zones for WHS of different scales, contexts and typologies. Design/methodo…

  • Spousal Violence Against Women in North-East India

    Open Access•Anindita Dey•ARTICLE•Violence Against Women•2025•References: 5

The study aims to find out the demographic and socio-economic factors associated with the prevalence of spousal violence in north-east India using NFHS-5 (2019-20) data. The result of binary logistic regression suggests that while women's age, education level, and employment status have a significant influence in reducing such abuse, factors related to their economic autonomy like their ownership of a house and having a savings bank account, etc.…

  • Optimising Balance and Gait in Stroke Patients

Open Access•Anindita Dey, Arghya Prakash Dey et al.•ARTICLE•ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and…•2024

Stroke is a leading cause of long-term disability worldwide, with balance and gait impairments being common sequelae. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of Swiss-Ball dual-task exercises versus conventional therapy in improving balance and gait parameters in post-stroke patients. In this randomized controlled trial, 64 stroke survivors (aged 25-65 years) were allocated to either a Swiss-Ball dual-task exercise program (n=32) or convent…

An acclaimed Bengali litterateur and one of the world’s greatest filmmakers, Ray penned 35 adventures on his detective between 1965 and 1990. Initially cre…

  • A long-term seasonal analysis on the relationship between LST and NDBI using Landsat data

Open Access•Subhanil Guha, Himanshu Govil et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2021

  • A case study on the relationship between land surface temperature and land surface indices in Raipur City, India

Subhanil Guha, Himanshu Govil et al.•ARTICLE•Geografisk Tidsskrift-Danish…•2020•Cited by: 2•References: 70

Land surface temperature (LST) depends primarily on the land surface material and climatic conditions. The present study focuses on deriving the LST of Raipur City and generating the relationship between LST and some land surface indices, like NDVI, NDWI, NDBI, NMDI, and NDBaI for better land-use planning and environmental management inside the city. These land surface indices respond in different ways with the changes of LST in an urban landscap…

  • Analytical study of land surface temperature with NDVI and NDBI using Landsat 8 OLI and Tirs data in Florence and Naples city, Italy

Open Access•Subhanil Guha, Himanshu Govil et al.•ARTICLE•European Journal of Remote Sensing•2018

The present study focuses on determining the relationship of estimated land surface temperature (LST) with normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and normalized difference built-up index (NDBI) for Florence and Naples cities in Italy using Landsat 8 data. The study also classifies different land use/land cover LU–LC) types using NDVI and NDBI threshold values, iterative self-organizing data analysis technique and maximum likelihood classif…
