  • Need Patterns and the Mutual Satisfaction of Dating and Engaged Couples

    Since it has not been demonstrated that specific need patterns are associated with interpersonal satisfaction, it is argued that previous tests of Winch's hypothesis of complementary needs are ambiguous. Using the Edwards Personal Preference Schedule and the Leary Interpersonal Adjective Check List, an attempt was made to discover those need patterns associated with mutual satisfaction.
