    (원)삼국시대 강릉 초당동 유적군에는 사구 지대를 중심으로 초당동, 강문동, 송정동 취 락이 포함된다. 취락은 대체로 초당동(원삼국시대) → 강문동(병행기) → 송정동(신라)의 순으로 중심지가 이동한다. 원삼국시대 초당동 유적군의 취락 중심지에는 신라의 진출과 더불어 고분군이 조영되면서 구질서가 재편된다. (원)삼국시대 초당동 유적군은 공통적으로 출토되는 중도식무문토기와 새롭게 추가되는 물질자료의 계통 차이, 주거의 구조 및 노시설의 변화에 따라 크게 3단계(5분기)로 세분된다. 초당동 I-1단계(AD 2C)에는 후벽이 직선인 여·철자형주거, 무시설식로, 중도식무문토 기와 더불어 낙랑계토기가 다수 확인된다. 초당동 I-2단계(AD 3C)에는 주거와 노시설은 앞 시기와 동일하지만 중도유형권의 물질자료가 새롭게 결합되면서 낙랑계토기의 수량이 급감한다. 초당동 II-1단계(AD 4C 전엽 ∼ 중엽)에…

    원삼국시대 중부지역은 양평과 이천을 경계로 중동부문화권과 중서부문화권으로 구분된다. 중 동부문화권은 중도식무문토기, 타날문토기, 여·철자형주거에서 공통점을 보인다. 그러나 태백산맥 을 기준으로 주거의 형태적 차이, 외줄구들과 부뚜막의 시설 유무, 분묘(적석분구묘)의 존재 여부 등으로 태백산맥 서쪽의 중도유형과 동쪽의 가평리유형으로 다시 세분할 수 있다. 가평리유형권에서 규모가 가장 크고, 지속기간이 길었던 것은 동해 송정동 유적이다. 따라서 동 해지역 취락의 양상을 검토하여 가평리유형권 주거의 특징을 추출할 수 있다. 동해 송정동 유적은 AD 1C부터 AD 4C 중엽까지 장기간 점유된 취락 유적이다. 송정동 취락은 추정인구가 최대 14,106명에 달하는 점에서 가평리유형권에서 가장 큰 거점취락에 해당된다. 그리고 송정동 동해항 만 B지구 1호 주거지는 주거의 위치, 규모, 출토유물 등으로 볼 때…
