    Open Access•Robert L Turner, Maryam Fakouri et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•1993

The relationship between sex-typing (androgynous vs traditional) and differences in fantasies of 19 men and 37 women was investigated. They completed May's test as a measure of fantasy pattern and the Bem Sex-role Inventory to ascertain sex-type. On four “clusters” the content of such recollections on “themes” was significantly different. Furthermore, paranoid schizophrenics mentioned “new situations” in the “theme” of their recollections more frequently than other schizophrenic subtypes

    Open Access•M Ebrahim Fakouri, Maryam Fakouri•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•1979

This study investigated (a) the age at which boys and girls begin to show differences in patterns of fantasy, (b) the relationship between differences in these patterns and factors such as intelligence, manifest aspects of sex role (in forms of teachers' ratings of masculinity for boys and femininity for girls), and presence or absence of the father at home. The results suggest that from the age of 8 or 9 yr. on, a difference emerges between patt…

To assess relationships among early recollections, present crises, and future goals 118 hospitalized patients with different psychiatric diagnoses were interviewed about problems, plans and two early childhood recollections. Relationships among these recollections, present crises, and future plans were identified and recorded for each patient by two psychologists. There was a greater frequency of relationships between early childhood recollection…
