Comparisons Between Hunter Education Instructors' and Hunters' Behaviors
This study compared hunter education instructors' (HEI) (n = 806) and deer hunters' (DH) (n = 396) views of hunting safety practices, with an emphasis on hunting from elevated stands. Data were obtained from convenience samples of both groups. HEI self-reported better safety practices than DH on 9 of 14 survey items.
