Joint effects of multidimensional urban morphology on day and night summer land surface temperature across local climate zones
Rapid urbanisation and climate change have intensified land surface temperature (LST) and heat-related risks across large urban regions. However, existing research has mainly focused on single land-cover types or linear associations, offering limited insight into how multidimensional spatial morphology regulates LST under complex surface conditions. Focusing on the Chengdu–Chongqing region, this study integrated land use/land cover, building dens…
Threshold effects of urban built-up and green space morphology on seasonal daytime–night-time land surface temperature
CPTED, satisfaction and loyalty in urban wetland parks
Despite the ongoing economic growth, gender and economic inequalities persist, particularly in the healthcare, education and urban design sectors. This study investigates the relationship of crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) principles with user satisfaction and loyalty in urban wetland parks. In accordance with stimulus–organism–response theory, we conducted a survey among 558 park users. Results reveal that improvements in C…
Changes in the prevalence of hepatitis B virus and its related factors in Inner Mongolia between 2006 and 2020
Objective This study aimed to compare the prevalence of serum hepatitis B virus (HBV) markers in Inner Mongolia between 2006 and 2020. Methods The same sampling process was used in investigations conducted in 2006 and 2020. A multi-stage stratified random sampling method was used to select subjects aged 1–60 years old from 12 cities in Inner Mongolia. Blood samples were collected to detect serological HBV markers including hepatitis B surface ant…
Rethinking Urban Greening
While urban greening is an effective adaptation strategy for building resilient cities, socioeconomic factors and individual perceptions of urban parks play a significant role in enhancing their safety and inclusiveness. Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) is a widely recognized approach for enhancing safety in urban public spaces. However, existing research has largely overlooked the impact of socioeconomic factors and interper…
A multilevel investigation of the cascading effect of entrepreneurial leadership on employee creativity
Does signing auditors’ communist party membership shape audit quality? Evidence from China
In this article, we investigate the effect of signing auditors' communist party membership on audit quality. Relying on a sample of Chinese listed firms from the period 2001 to 2019, we find that firms with signing auditors who have communist party membership conduct less earnings management, indicating that signing auditors with party membership provide high level of audit quality. Moreover, the above relationship is more pronounced in small aud…
