Western and Eastern Punjabs are two adjoining regions having similar cultural and historical background and values but separated by international border. Both are heavily dependent upon agriculture sector and are also known as bread baskets. Indian Punjab has a much smaller area but has much higher productivity than Pakistani Punjab.
