  • Arpg: A simulation-based study of real-time coaching for educational LLM prompting

Open Access•Pei-Gen Ye, Kanghua Mo et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2026

Despite widespread adoption of large language models (LLMs), most students cannot effectively prompt them. The core challenge is teaching students how to ask: transforming prompting from trial-and-error guessing into a systematic, transferable skill. Existing solutions, such as static templates, rule-based hints, and automated rewriting, either ignore individual learning needs or optimize outputs without building competence, leaving students depe…

  • Effects of Variation in Tamarix chinensis Plantations on Soil Microbial Community Composition in the Middle Yellow River Floodplain

Open Access•Xinyu Yan, Lanlan Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2023

Floodplains have important ecological and hydrological functions in terrestrial ecosystems, experience severe soil erosion, and are vulnerable to losing soil fertility. Tamarix chinensis Lour. plantation is the main vegetation restoration measure for maintaining soil quality in floodplains. Soil microorganisms are essential for driving biogeochemical cycling processes. However, the effects of sampling location and shrub patch size on soil microbi…

  • Synergistic strategies for urban passenger transport pollution control and CO2 reduction based on the sunk cost effect

  • When judging what you know changes what you really know: Soliciting metamemory judgments reactively enhances children’s learning

Open Access•Wanlin Zhao, Baike Li et al.•ARTICLE•Child Development•2022

Recent studies established that making concurrent judgments of learning (JOLs) can significantly alter (typically enhance) memory itself—a reactivity effect. The current study recruited 190 Chinese children (Mage = 8.68 years; 101 female) in 2020 and 2021 to explore the reactivity effect on children's learning, its developmental trajectory and associated metacognitive awareness. The results showed that making JOLs significantly enhanced retention…

  • English Teaching for Intercultural Communication in China: Past, Present and Future

Jun Zheng, Dajin Lin•ARTICLE•African and Asian Studies•2022•References: 1

There have been papers published in the Chinese mainland or Taiwan or outside of China exploring the relationship between intercultural communication studies and English teaching in China. The present study, applying historicism, points out that these papers, though informative, are far from adequate for lack of equal importance attached to journal papers and books, and to some events of historic significance. The objective of the present study i…

  • HIV-positive clients of female sex workers in Hunan Province, China: A mixed methods study assessing sexual relationships and risk behavior by type of partner

Open Access•Peili Wu, Willa Dong et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2019

HIV-positive CFSWs continue to practice unsafe sexual behaviors with regular and irregular partners after HIV diagnosis, but were more willing to protect their regular partners. Future interventions targeting HIV-positive CFSWs should not only be confined to sero-discordant couples, but also need to instill a sense of responsibility to protect the commercial and casual partners and reduce the number of concurrent partners
