  • Auditory perception of ambiguous and non-ambiguous sound in early and late blind children

Open Access•A Ankeeta, S Senthil Kumaran et al.•ARTICLE•Brain and Language•2022

  • Individualized dosimetry in children and young adults with differentiated thyroid cancer undergoing iodine-131 therapy

Moisés De Lemos Martins, Praveen Kumar et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology…•2020

Objectives The amount of Iodine-131 to treat young patients with differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) has not been established so far. The purpose of this study was to perform and compare blood dosimetry by “Hanscheid’s approach”and lesion dosimetry by “Maxon’s approach”. Methods Seventy-one DTC patients ≤21 years were given diagnostic activity of 74 MBq 131 I followed by whole-body scan (WBS) at 2 h (pre-void), 24 h, 48 h, and ≥72 h. Pre-therapy …

  • Distribution of closed birth intervals with some biosocial components

Arvind Pandey, Sada Nand Dwivedi et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Mathematical Sociology•1990•Cited by: 1•References: 1

Here we propound a stochastic model to describe the variation in the length of closed birth intervals by birth order for women of a given marriage duration. The model accounts for two biosocial components: adolescent sterility and temporary separation between the partners (called an inoperative period at the beginning of the reproductive process). Applying the model on an observed set of data, we estimate the risk of conception and the extent of …
