  • Impacts of three-dimensional canopy structure on urban waterlogging

Open Access•Yuqin Huang, Yifei Liufu et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2026

  • Forecasting Carbon Emissions by Considering the Joint Influences of Urban Form and Socioeconomic Development—An Empirical Study in Guangdong, China

Open Access•Zhijie Rao, Jiapei Li et al.•ARTICLE•ISPRS International Journal of…•2025

Carbon emission forecasting is a critical step in addressing climate change and effective environmental management. However, previous studies have concentrated mainly on socioeconomic factors, with less attention directed toward the significant impact of urban form. To address the shortcomings of previous studies, this study introduced three types of landscape indices that can characterize urban form and combined them with conventional socioecono…

  • Delineation of Fallow Priority Areas Under Food Security Constraints Using the Marxan

Open Access•Qitong Chen, Jinyao Lin et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2025

Fallow is a crucial strategy for sustainable agricultural resource management and environmental conservation. Previous studies have mainly focused on the scale of fallow areas, but have rarely considered the connectivity and spatial prioritization of fallow areas during delineation, resulting in scattered and fragmented outcomes. To address these problems, this study proposes a method for fallow area delineation that considers food security const…

  • Scenario forecasting of carbon neutrality by combining the Leap model and future land-use simulation

Open Access•Xinyan Zhao, Zhijie Rao et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2025

  • Assessing the scale effect of urban vertical patterns on urban waterlogging

    Open Access•Yuqin Huang, Jinyao Lin et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Impact Assessment…•2024•Cited by: 9•References: 74

  • Measuring the relationship between morphological spatial pattern of green space and urban heat island using machine learning methods

Open Access•Jinyao Lin, Suixuan Qiu et al.•ARTICLE•Building and Environment•2023

Open Access•Jinyao Lin, Peiting He et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2022

  • Measuring the Non-Linear Relationship between Three-Dimensional Built Environment and Urban Vitality Based on a Random Forest Model

Open Access•Jinyao Lin, Yaye Zhuang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Urban vitality is a major indicator used for evaluating the sustainability and attractiveness of an urban environment. Global experience indicates that urban vitality can be stimulated through a reasonable urban design. However, it remains incompletely understood in the literature which building-related indicators can substantially affect urban vitality in Asian countries. To give an insight into this question, our study took a step forward by fo…

  • Analyzing the spatial factors related to the distributions of building heights in urban areas

Open Access•Jinyao Lin, Huiyin Wan et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2020

  • Large-scale ecological red line planning in urban agglomerations using a semi-automatic intelligent zoning method

Open Access•Jinyao Lin, Xia Li•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2019

  • Interactive Art— Smiling Buddha

    He-Lin Luo, Jinyao Lin et al.•ARTICLE•Leonardo•2019•References: 2

In the interactive installation Smiling Buddha, we aimed to “pass on” a smile from one observer to the next. Thus, we have designed a natural interactive process that keeps passing on smiles. The system captures the moment at which an observer smiles before kinetically recording the moment and saving the images. The system does not merely record an image from a single angle; instead, the device records the user’s smile from various angles during …
