In der vorliegenden Studie werden Fragen nach den in der Vokalpolyphonie des 16. Jahrhunderts wirksamen Tonarten und nach deren Verhltnis zur Struktur des musikalischen Satzes behandelt. Bekanntlich hat die zeitgenssische Theorie viel Sorgfalt auf die Tonartenlehre verw andt; es fehlt nicht an ausfhrlichen Darstellungen, deren Bedeutung um so hher einzuschtzen ist, als sie, vielleicht mit Ausnahme von Glareans Dodekachordon
