  • Rodents as indicators of the climatic conditions during the Middle Pleistocene in the southwestern Mediterranean region

    Open Access•J M López-García, Ian M Campbell et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Human Evolution•2021•Cited by: 9•References: 58

Rodents are a very useful tool in reconstructing the environment of the past, especially owing to their rapid response to climate change, their small home range, and their restricted habitat requirements. They are a highly diverse group of mammals, which have high reproduction rates and as a result can evolve rapidly. The abundance of their microfossil remains in archaeological and paleontological sites permits robust statistical analyses to reco…

  • Utility of the Gd Scale for the Measurement of Gender-Dysphoria in Males

    Open Access•Michael W Ro, Michael W Ross et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•1988

Responses on the 31-item Gender Dysphoria ( Gd) scale of the MMPI of 104 primary gender-dysphoric males who had undergone or were about to undergo gender-reassignment surgery, 25 secondary gender-dysphoric patients from the same clinics, and 563 male psychiatric outpatients were tabulated and specificities and sensitivities calculated. The scale had satisfactory specificity, correctly identifying 98.1% of subjects. Sensitivity was unsatisfactory …

  • Discriminant validity of the Crown–Crisp Experiential Index

    Open Access•P M Burgess, L Mazzocco et al.•ARTICLE•British Journal of Medical…•1987•Cited by: 3

The discriminative power of the CCEI subscales was examined. Several approaches were undertaken on the responses from subjects in three neurotically disturbed groups and a normal control group. Analyses indicated that simple cut‐off points could discriminate effectively an ‘adjusted‐neurotic’ dimension; simple cut‐off points were relatively more difficult to develop for discrimination among the three neurotically disturbed groups. Discriminant an…
