  • Role phenomena and foster care for disturbed children

    As part of a project on improvement of foster care for emotionally disturbed children, fifty foster parents were studied to determine their concept of their own role and the role they ascribed to the caseworker. Certain role disturbances that impede foster home care are identified, and the necessity for a clearer role definition for the foster parent, as well as for the worker, is discussed
