Peace Dividend
The Abraham Accords, a major political breakthrough between Israel and the Muslim nations of the world, could also have wide-reaching economic impacts. Deeper economic integration could create 150,000 new jobs among Israel's current partners in the accords, and these benefits could grow to 4 million new jobs (and $1 trillion in new economic activity) over a decade, if the accords grow to include 11 nations, which some have speculated is possible
Chinese Investment in Israeli Technology and Infrastructure
Relations between China and Israel have expanded rapidly since the early 2000s in numerous areas, including diplomacy, trade, investment, construction, educational partnerships, scientific cooperation, and tourism. The authors examine the extent and nature of Chinese investments in Israeli technology and infrastructure and discuss the security implications these pose for Israel and the United States.
Arab‐Israeli Relations on the Eve of the U.S. Election
Israel’s Evolving Iran Policy
With a US administration fully sympathetic to Benjamin Netanyahu’s strident hostility towards Iran, Israeli officials have little to debate
The Evolving Israel-China Relationship
Since the early 2000s, relations between China and Israel have expanded in terms of trade, investment, and educational partnerships. China is interested in advanced technology and Israel's strategic location, while Israel seeks to expand ties with the world's fastest growing major economy and diversify its export markets. In this report, RAND researchers discuss the relationship and the challenges it poses for Israel and for the United States
The Future of Israeli-Turkish Relations
This report, which draws largely on Israeli and third-party views, examines economic, diplomatic, and security ties between Israel and Turkey and the possible futures of these ties. Israeli-Turkish relations remain contentious; the main conflicts relate to Iranian influence in Syria and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as demonstrated by the May 2018 diplomatic rift over the clashes in Gaza and the opening of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem
Lessons from Israel's Wars in Gaza
This brief summarizes a RAND report that explores lessons that the U.S. Army and the Joint force can draw from Israel's military operations in Gaza from 2009 to 2014 and how Israel adapted to hybrid adversaries in complex urban terrain.
The Costs of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
This study estimates the net costs and benefits if the long-standing conflict between Israelis and Palestinians follows its current trajectory over the next ten years, relative to five other possible trajectories that the conflict could take. The goal of the analysis is to give all parties comprehensive, reliable information about available choices and their expected costs and consequences.
