  • Temporal influences on accessibility to healthcare, using the example of pediatricians in Bavaria, Germany

    Open Access•Sebastian Rauch, C Butsch•ARTICLE•Health & Place•2026•References: 10

Accessibility to healthcare is shaped by spatial and temporal dynamics. This paper develops a framework that explicitly considers temporal variability across micro- (daily routines), meso- (seasonal fluctuations), and macro-scales (demographic and structural changes). Using pediatric outpatient care in Southern Germany as a case, we examine how these temporal factors interact with regional disparities in service provision. A mixed-methods researc…

  • Herausforderungen der außerbetrieblichen Erreichbarkeit medizinischer Grundversorgung am Beispiel niedergelassener Hausärzte in Mainfranken

    Sebastian Rauch•ARTICLE•Sozialer Fortschritt•2024

  • Reconsidering retailers' resilience and the city

Open Access•Sina Hardaker, Alexandra Appel et al.•ARTICLE•Cities•2022•Cited by: 2•References: 36

This study aims to better understand retailers' resilience by conducting a micro-level analysis of retailers against the backdrop of the current Covid-19 crisis. Focusing on e-commerce strategies, the paper reveals that for a better understanding of retailer's resilience it proves helpful to analytically differentiate subjective and objective aspects that influence the personal ‘capacities to respond’, leading to more or less (pro)active reaction…

  • Analysing Long Term Spatial Mobility Patterns of Individuals and Large Groups Using 3D‐GIS

    Open Access•Sebastian Rauch•ARTICLE•Tijdschrift voor Economische en…•2022•References: 44

Individual mobility and human patterns analyses is receiving increasing attention in numerous interdisciplinary studies and publications using the concept of time‐geography but is largely unknown to the subdiscipline of sports geography. Meanwhile the visualization and evaluation of large data of individual patterns are still a major challenge. While a qualitative, microscale view on spatial‐temporal topics is more common in today's pattern resea…
