Housing Investment Fluctuations: An International Comparison
This article examines whether there is greater stability in modern housing markets compared with those in the 1920s and 1930s and pre-1914 by looking at the volatility of investment in housing across a number of countries over the long term. This paper investigates the nature of building trends and cycles from the 19th century to the present day for eight major OECD economies.
