The Late Middle Kingdom (Thirteenth to Seventeenth Dynasties)
The article summarizes the state of the art in chronology of the late Middle Kingdom, which the author takes to also encompass the so-called Second Intermediate Period. Translation and interpretation of the autobiographical self-presentation of the Overseer of a Troop of Herdsmen of Small Cattle Antef on stela British Museum EA 1628. Various criteria for dating are examined, and it is suggested that the stela was produced in the Theban area during the reign of Amenemhat I

It is argued that there was no Middle Kingdom re-interpretation of the offering formula. Old and Middle Kingdom offering formulas show no basic differences in spelling, and they should be interpreted as 'an offering whichthe king has given (and) Osiris has given:...' Le fragment de stele B. M. 833 est a rapprocher des steles du Caire CG. 20335 et de Paris Louvre E. 13057. Le fragment date de Rahotep et porte le nom de Oupouaoutiry que l'on retrouve sur les deux autres appartenant a son fils Koumes. La stele de Paris est la derniere stele a Min connue, celle du Caire mentionne le mot iouâyt , garnison . Elles dateraient d'Antef V, de Sebekemsaf II, de Nebiriaou I ou d'Ahmosis
