  • A Python GIS-Based Multi-Criteria Assessment to Identify Suitable Areas for Photovoltaic Energy Measures

Open Access•Iván Ramos-Diez, Sara Barilari et al.•ARTICLE•ISPRS International Journal of…•2026

The urgency to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and address the accelerating impacts of climate change has placed renewable energy as a core part of global climate strategies. However, the expansion of renewable infrastructures with a focus on solar systems often generates competition with other land uses, raising concerns about land availability, environmental integrity, and social acceptance. Renewable energy solutions deployment must be align…

  • Actors' perceptions of environmental impact assessment (EIA) benefits to fulfil Sweden's national environmental objectives

    Open Access•Sofie Hellsten, J Mikael Malmaeus et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Impact Assessment…•2023•References: 13

  • The role of indicator choice in quantifying the threat of atmospheric ammonia to the ‘Natura 2000’ network

    Open Access•S Hallsworth, Anthony J Dore et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Science & Policy•2010•References: 1

  • The Effects of Forestry on Hg Bioaccumulation in Nemoral/Boreal Waters and Recommendations for Good Silvicultural Practice

Kevin Bishop, Craig Allan et al.•ARTICLE•AMBIO•2009•Cited by: 6

Mercury (Hg) levels are alarmingly high in fish from lakes across Fennoscandia and northern North America. The few published studies on the ways in which silviculture practices influence this problem indicate that forest operations increase Hg in downstream aquatic ecosystems. From these studies, we estimate that between one-tenth and one-quarter of the Hg in the fish of high-latitude, managed forest landscapes can be attributed to harvesting. Fo…

  • Mobilization of Mercury and Methylmercury from Forest Soils after a Severe Storm-Fell Event

John Munthe, Sofie Hellsten et al.•ARTICLE•AMBIO•2007•Cited by: 3•References: 2

  • Monitoring and modelling trace-gas changes following the 2001 outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease to reduce the uncertainties in agricultural emissions abatement

    Open Access•Matthew Avery Sutton, U Dragosits et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Science & Policy•2006•Cited by: 1•References: 2
