  • From ESG Performance to the Rebalancing of Supply Chain Bargaining Power: The Roles of Green Innovation and Analyst Attention

Open Access•Hua Shang, Peng Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Development•2026

Amid the global transition toward low‐carbon development and increasingly stringent green trade regulations, firms' bargaining positions within supply chains are being reshaped. While ESG performance is widely regarded as a key indicator of corporate sustainability, its role in supply chain power remains insufficiently understood. Using panel data on Chinese A‐share listed firms from 2013 to 2022, this study examines whether and how ESG performan…

  • The compounding effects of pollution reduction and low-carbon policy synergies on urban economic resilience and environmental performance

Open Access•Xi Wang, Hua Shang et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2026

  • Differentiated Carbon Stabilization Pathways Reveal Cropland Promotes Maoc in the Yellow River Sediment‐Affected Area

Open Access•Ran Wang, Junhua Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2026

Soil organic carbon (SOC) fractions play a crucial role in regulating biogeochemical cycles and carbon sequestration processes. However, in ecologically fragile regions such as the Yellow River sediment‐affected area, the long‐term dynamics and turnover mechanisms of particulate organic carbon (POC) and mineral‐associated organic carbon (MAOC) under different land‐use types remain unclear. Based on the 2013 and 2023 field samples, we examined pla…

  • Foreign bank entry and export quality upgrading: Evidence from a quasi-natural experiment set in China

Open Access•Teng Zhang, Yanlin Xing et al.•ARTICLE•Empirical Economics•2024

  • Foreign bank entry and the outward foreign direct investment of companies: Evidence from China

Open Access•Haiyue Liu, Zhimin Yi et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of International Business…•2024

  • Dynamic simulation research on urban green transformation under the target of carbon emission reduction: The example of Shanghai

Open Access•Hua Shang, Hailei Yin•ARTICLE•Humanities and Social Sciences…•2023

This paper aimed to predict the trend of carbon emissions during the green transformation process in Shanghai, with a focus on the city’s urban system structure. Green development has become an inevitable trend in urban progress, as traditional urban development has led to severe environmental problems caused by the emissions of a large amount of carbon dioxide. This study was motivated by the need for cities to actively pursue green transformati…

  • Spatio-temporal assessing of natural vegetation regulation on SO 2 absorption coupling ecosystem process model and OMI satellite data

Open Access•Fen Zhao, Peng Yang et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Research Letters•2022

Quantifying the contribution of natural ecosystems on air quality regulation can help to lay the foundation for ecological construction, and to promote the sustainable development of natural ecosystems. To identify the spatio-temporal dynamic changes of natural vegetation regulation on SO 2 absorption and the underlying mechanism of these changes in Qinghai Province, an important ecological barrier and the unique natural ecosystems, the Biome-BGC…

  • Dynamic sustainability capabilities and corporate sustainability performance: The mediating effect of resource management capabilities

    Open Access•Hua Shang, Chen Renfei et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Development•2019•Cited by: 3•References: 10

Corporate sustainable development has become an important topic for academic discussion. Sustainability is a managerial trend playing an important role in contemporary organizational strategy management. There has been little study about the ability of companies to make sustainability more dynamic and to integrate sustainability within overarching strategies, transforming sustainability into a business asset. This study examines ways to translate…

  • Credit market development and firm innovation: Evidence from the People's Republic of China

Hua Shang, Quanyun Song et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy•2016•References: 6

From the perspective of credit allocation, this paper analyzes the effects of credit market development on the innovative capacities of industrial firms in the People's Republic of China. Using a large dataset of industrial firms in 31 provinces in the People's Republic of China, we find that credit market development enhances the probability of firms' product innovation and innovation outcomes. We further show that firms' credit constraints and …

  • Glabridin from Chinese herb licorice inhibits fatigue in mice

Open Access•Hua Shang, Sisi Cao et al.•ARTICLE•African Journal of Traditional…•2010

The inhibiting effect of glabridin from Chinese herb Licorice on fatigue was investigated in male BALB/c mice. Mice were divided into the following 4 experimental groups: control group (CG), low dose group (LG), middle dose group (MG) and high dose group (HG,). The control group was given 0.5% Tween 80 solution and the treatment groups (LG, MG, HG) were given various doses of glabridin (5, 10, 20 mg/kg) for 28 consecutive days. Body mass, blood l…
