Patterns of Co-Occurring Maternal and Paternal Parenting and Child Behavioral Adjustment Identified in Chinese Families
This study advanced a rationale for employing a person-centered approach to examine covariations between parenting dimensions and child behaviors, using family-level (triadic) profiles that simultaneously included multiple maternal and paternal parenting dimensions and child behaviors as indicators. Participants included 385 preschool children ( M age = 4.8 years, SD = 0.41, 53% boys) and their parents from Beijing and Dalian, China. Results reve…
Environmental policy synergies
Smart manufacturing provides a practical pathway for enhancing economic performance while reducing environmental impact. This study empirically examines the unintended co-benefits of China’s Low-Carbon City Pilot (LCCP) Policy in promoting smart manufacturing adoption among A-share-listed firms from 2007 to 2023. Employing a staggered difference-in-differences approach, we find that the LCCP significantly promotes firms’ adoption of smart manufac…
ESG Rating and Corporate Motivation for Green Technology Innovation
Enterprises’ varied motivations for pursuing green technology innovation (GI) might lead to varying economic and societal outcomes from their creative endeavors. This study employs data of A-share listed firms from 2009 to 2021 and a high-dimensional fixed effect model to explore how ESG rating drives enterprises’ motivations for engaging in GI. The empirical research shows that ESG rating stimulates enterprises to conduct both substantive green …
