  • Employee shareholding plans and corporate environmental misconduct

Open Access•Lianchao Yu, Zhaoyi Li et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Environmental Planning…•2026

While prior studies generally assume a linear, positive effect of employee shareholding plans (ESPs) on environmentally responsible behavior, their non-linear influence on environmental misconduct (EM) remains unexplored. Using a sample of Chinese listed firms that implemented ESPs from 2014 to 2024, this study finds an inverted U-shaped relationship between employee shareholding and corporate EM. Mechanism analyses indicate this non-linear effec…

  • Trends in respiratory diseases before and after the Covid-19 pandemic in China from 2010 to 2021

Open Access•Zhongbao Zuo, Chunli Yang et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2023

Our study demonstrated the incidence of the seven respiratory diseases decreased rapidly during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. Our study showed that NPIs have an effect on respiratory diseases, but Relaxation of NPIs mig…

  • Effects of Oxytetracycline/Lead Pollution Alone and in the Combined Form on Antibiotic Resistance Genes, Mobile Genetic Elements, and Microbial Communities in the Soil

Open Access•Tengfei Guo, Zhaoyi Li et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

The application of livestock manure is the leading cause of antibiotic and heavy metal pollution in agricultural soil. However, the effects of oxytetracycline (OTC) and lead (Pb) pollution in the single or combined form on antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in the soil need to be further studied. This study was planned to investigate the effects of OTC and Pb application on ARGs, mobile genetic elements (MGEs), and bacterial abundance in the soil…
