  • Quantifying Lake Athabasca (Canada) water level during the ‘Little Ice Age’ highstand from palaeolimnological and geophysical analyses of a transgressive barrier-beach complex

    Open Access•John W Johnston, Dörte Köster et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2010•Cited by: 1•References: 1

We combine multiproxy palaeolimnological and geophysical analyses of a barrier-beach complex to estimate the water level of a sustained Lake Athabasca (Canada) highstand during the ‘Little Ice Age’ (LIA; 1600—1900 CE). Palaeolimnological analyses on sediment cores from the lagoon behind the barrier indicate high water levels during the LIA, controlled by subsurface hydrological connection with Lake Athabasca. Key features in the LIA stratigraphic…

  • Mining Our Strengths

Margaret E Martin, Barbara A Pine et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Teaching in Social Work•1999•Cited by: 7

Practicing social work managers, all graduates from an administration concentration in a school of social work, responded to a mail survey which asked them to identify the current practice domains, the importance of thirty-seven managerial skills to their practice, and the extent to which the advanced management curriculum, the field practi-cum and the foundation social work curriculum had prepared them for practice in these areas. Respondents we…

  • Occupational Classification

    Open Access•Margaret E Martin•ARTICLE•Demography•1967•References: 1
