Archaeologically monitored excavations in the Grassmarket, Edinburgh uncovered diverse remains dating from prehistory to the First World War. New light on Kelso Abbey
Archaeological fieldwork on the old garage site on Bridge Street, Kelso, has revealed the extensive and well-preserved remains of buildings associated with the Abbey precinct. A series of large, substantial structures lay immediately to the west of the site of the cloister's west range. The Anglian monastery and medieval priory of Coldingham
An excavation was undertaken in the north of Abbey Yards Field, adjacent to Coldingham Priory,the Scottish Borders. A housing development within the former grounds of Perceton House on the outskirts of Irvine led to the discovery of a 12th-century stockaded farmstead without obvious excavated parallels. Excavations at 3–11 Main Street, Cumbernauld
The Scottish Urban Archaeological Trust Ltd (SUAT) carried out excavations in advance of a possible infill development on a site located within the historic core of the village of Cumbernauld. Evidence of some 300–400 years of activity dating from the post-medieval period was uncovered with some residual finds from the medieval period. The excavations were jointly funded by the Cumbernauld Development Corporation and Historic Scotland
