The importance of mealtime structure for reducing child food fussiness
The aim of this study was to explore how the structure of mealtimes within the family setting is related to children's fussy eating behaviours. Seventy-five mothers of children aged between 2 and 4 years were observed during a typical mealtime at home. A Cordoned Urn burial with faience from 102 Findhorn, Moray
Report on the discovery of a large Cordoned Urn containing the cremated remains of an adult female and a neonate or foetal infant. The urn also contained twenty-two mostly fragmentary segmented beads and one star-shaped bead, all faience. The urn had been inverted in a pit and pyre debris placed over the upper fill of the pit. This deposit contained a further two faience beads, one star-shaped and incomplete, the other quoit-shaped, and a small c…
A Neolithic ring-mound at Midtown of Pitglassie, Auchterless, Aberdeenshire
In Autumn 1978, excavation took place on a small round mound at Midtown of Pitglassie where digging in the 1950s had produced Neolithic and Bronze Age pottery and lithics. The excavation was organized by the Ancient Monuments Inspectorate of the Department of the Environment, now Historic Scotland, with whose assistance this report is published. The excavation revealed an original annular mound, composed of circular banks of stone, earth and turf…
