    This paper proposes the neologism 'the will to transform' to explore the political rationalities of a state-sponsored national reconciliation project—specifically the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of South Africa (TRC).     This article examines the redress-centred campaigning activities of the Khulumani Support Group, a South African victim advocacy organization that has cultivated a specific form of agency through its demands for victim reparations.
