This study evaluates the effectiveness of a short‐term, solution‐focused group intervention designed to support the psychosocial development of children living in residential care. The intervention was implemented under the leadership of a psychiatric nurse in close collaboration with a social worker, providing rare experimental evidence on interdisciplinary practice and offering an original contribution to the field of social work. The study was…

Bu makale, Kuru Otlar Üstüne (2023) filmini sosyal, siyasal ve yönetsel kuramlar çerçevesinde analiz etmektedir. Objective: To evaluate the impact of changes in import tariffs on sweetened beverages. Post-tax trends were compared with a counterfactual modelled on the pre-tax trend for: quarterly price of an indicator beverage, monthly bevera…

Neighbourhood Ethnic Diversity, Child Health Outcomes and Women’s Empowerment
Much of the existing literature suggests that ethnic diversity undermines economic development. However, there are also ways in which local ethnic diversity might be beneficial, and we show that in the case of Ethiopian child health, the benefits of diversity can outweigh the costs. We find that children in relatively diverse communities are better nourished and more likely to receive a full set of vaccinations. There is some evidence that one ex…
