Tai Chi as a preventive intervention for improving mental and physical health in non-depressed college students with high perceived stress
Aim Non-depressed college students with high perceived stress represent a distinct preclinical population at elevated risk for psychological deterioration. While Tai Chi is established as a mind–body exercise for improving well-being in clinical and older populations, its targeted efficacy in this specific at-risk subgroup—particularly regarding integrated physical and mental health benefits—remains inadequately explored. This study aimed to inve…
Psychological and behavioral characteristics of overweight and obese Chinese college students with high stress
These findings underscore the need for integrated interventions addressing sleep, physical activity, and mental health in high-stress obese students, with particular attention to China's unique campus environment constraints. Future research should explore culturally adapted mind-body interventions like tai chi to break the stress-obesity cycle
Research on the comprehensive child life intervention program (CCLIP) for adjusting medical fear in children with central nervous system (CNS) cancers
This study is registered at the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry, ChiCTR2400082622. Registered 2 April, 2024

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the mental health and academic performance of medical postgraduates
Background The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has presented a major challenge to the health, economic, and social sectors of the entire world. This study aimed to investigate the mental health and academic performance of medical postgraduates during the COVID-19 pandemic in China. Methods A cross-sectional online survey was conducted from March 20 to April 20, 2022 at the Zhejiang University School of Medicine in China. The questionnaire con…
Language policies and organizational features of international organizations
Language policy, which is directly concerned with organizational operation, functions, and objectives, has become an increasingly important issue in international organizations (IOs). However, research on IOs’ language policies, especially exploration based on large-scale data, is rather limited. Using data from the Yearbook of International Organizations (2020–2021) , this study explores how IOs select their languages. It is found that: (1) Fede…
Preparation of Attapulgite/CoFe2O4 Magnetic Composites for Efficient Adsorption of Tannic Acid from Aqueous Solution
The use of attapulgite (ATP)-based materials for adsorption of pollutants from water and wastewater has received growing attention. However, recovering ATP-based adsorbents remains a challenge. In this study, a magnetic adsorbent ATP/CoFe 2 O 4 with high tannic acid (TA) adsorptive capacity was fabricated via a facile co-precipitation approach and was well characterized. The loaded CoFe 2 O 4 particles were embedded into the adsorbent surfaces to…
A Comparison of Market Integration in Nineteenth‐Century China and Japan
This paper performs a cointegration analysis using an Error Correction Model (ECM) on annual rice prices to measure and compare market integration in China and Japan during the nineteenth century. We find markets in Japan were more integrated than in China at both the regional and national levels during the period. Moreover, market integration in Japan improved during industrialisation. These findings support the view that a well‐integrated marke…
