Blockchain and machine learning based security framework for autonomous vehicle ecosystems in the context of smart cities
The Connections among Interacting with Nature, Nature Relatedness and Dietary Choices: A Pilot Mixed Methods Study
Interacting with nature and a connection to nature (Nature Relatedness [NR]) have been associated with better mental and physical health as well as higher levels of physical activity. However, limited research has explored how interacting with nature and NR may promote healthful dietary behaviors. The purpose of this pilot convergent mixed methods study was to explore the connections between interacting with nature, NR, and dietary choices. For d…
Efficacy of mitigation strategies for aquifer sustainability under climate change
Groundwater systems play a pivotal role in ensuring food and water security while maintaining vital ecosystem functions. The depletion of numerous global aquifers, however, raises concerns regarding the sustainability of groundwater withdrawals and environmental flows. Despite efforts to mitigate this decline, there remains a striking gap in proving the effectiveness of these measures. Our research focuses on the karstic Edwards Aquifer system in…
Making sense of glass ceiling: A bibliometric analysis of conceptual framework, intellectual structure and research publications
In life and employment, women face discrimination. The glass ceiling prohibits women from obtaining top management and leadership positions in male-dominated sectors. This study has conducted bibliometric analyses to analyze and highlight the glass ceiling literature. Authors searched international conferences and journals for relevant papers. This study evaluates 1,199 publications from the Scopus database’s core collection between 1988 and 2021…
Three Dimensional Finite Element Analysis for Evaluation of Stress and Strain Distribution in Endodontically Treated Maxillary Central Incisor With Two Different Post and Core Systems
Aim: To assess stress, and strain dissemination characteristics in root canal treated maxillary central incisors restored with two distinct dowel and core materials. Methodology: Five three-dimensional simulations of the central incisor in the maxilla were created with ANSYS (Canonsburg, PA) version 10. MODEL 1 represented a normal morphologic simulation of the incisor. MODEL 2 depicted the incisor with a pre-fabricated fiber-reinforced dowel wit…
Advances in the Prenatal Management of Fetal Cardiac Disease
Advances in the field have improved the prenatal management of cardiovascular diseases over the past few decades; however, there remains considerable challenges in the approach towards patient selection as well as the applicability of available therapies. This review aims to discuss the current knowledge, outcomes and challenges for prenatal intervention for congenital heart disease
Indigenous Meanings of Provenance in the Context of Alternative Food Movements and Supply-Chain Traceability: A Review
This article reviews the concept of provenance from both contemporary and traditional aspects. The incorporation of indigenous meanings and conceptualizations of belonging into provenance are explored. First, we consider how the gradual transformation of marketplaces into market and consumer activism catalyzed the need for provenance. Guided by this, we discuss the meaning of provenance from an indigenous and non-indigenous rationale. Driven by t…
