Functional movement disorder is associated with abnormal interoceptive brain activity
This is, to our knowledge, the first study showing that FMD is associated with abnormal interoceptive processing in regions involved in monitoring body state, attentional focus, and homeostatic inference
Case report
We report a case of a new-onset, persistent tremor that developed during a clinical trial (NCT02927236) of intermittent theta burst stimulation [iTBS, a form of repetitive magnetic transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS)] for cocaine use disorder. Although the participant exhibited an exceptionally strong clinical response, subsequent unblinding revealed that they received sham iTBS. This case highlights the potential for strong functional neuro…
A Monument to Intimacy
This article offers a fresh reading of Sir Joshua Reynolds's celebrated portrait of the Marlborough Family (1777–79), in which the painting is interpreted in relation to the themes of dynasty, connoisseurship, parental tenderness, childhood and intimacy, and as an ambitious assemblage of interacting pictorial elements. The article is designed to suggest new, historically informed ways of approaching and interpreting Reynolds's own work, and hopes…

I shall offer a close reading of two of these images, John Sturt's The May Da…
