Open Access•Ayu Kusumastuti, Roxana Barbulescu et al.•ARTICLE•Comparative Migration Studies•2026

Despite legal equality in voting rights, public discourse persistently reinscribes migrant women’s political engagement through the idiom of “deficit,” casting their participation as lacking, insufficient, or anomalously disengaged. This paper focuses on a precarious community, migrant women employed in private domestic work in Asian countries, and examines their participation in elections in their home country, Indonesia. • Aesthetic modular source and carbon potential as mathematical foundations for architectural Aigc design

Open Access•Gangwei Cai, Binyan Xu et al.•ARTICLE•Humanities and Social Sciences…•2026

Most architects rely on aesthetic intuition, often neglecting the mathematical foundations that underlie aesthetic judgement in design. This study addresses this gap by proposing a mathematical framework that supports both aesthetic excellence and low-carbon performance in architecture. The first contribution is to identify the essence of modular aesthetics as rooted in classical mathematical constructs—ratio, sequence, and spiral. The second con…

  • Validity of the Tree Drawing Test Suicide Ideation Assessment Scale in adolescents

Open Access•Yanfei Zhang, Yige Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2025

The TDT-SIAS demonstrated good screening performance and effectively distinguished adolescents with suicidal ideation from those without. It may serve as a preliminary screening tool for adolescent suicidal ideation. However, limitations of this study include the relatively small sample size and the lack of consideration for cultural differences, which may affect generalizability. Future studies should expand sample size and examine cross-cultura…

Depression was negatively correlated with the older but positively correlated with high BMI and poor quality of life. Anxiety was positively associated with poor sleep quality. L Sun, Ying Zhao et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Asian Public Policy•2024•References: 4

This article aims to examine ride-hailing drivers’ working conditions and social protection in China. Through interviews with 25 ride-hailing drivers in Beijing, we found that their working conditions are precarious, stressful, surveilled, and their social protection exhibits features of inadequacy and fragmentation. They are excluded from social insurance for urban employees due to the lack of a formal employment relationship. Instead, they larg…

In China, the number of highly skilled domestic migrants has been growing significantly. Many highly skilled personnel have migrated to megacities located in eastern China. Because the role of social networks has been overlooked i…
