Evaluation of IVIM and Fact imaging for early detection of rotator cuff muscle degeneration and physiotherapy exercise effects
Background This study investigated novel magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques, including intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) and fat analysis & calculation technique (FACT) to detect early pathologic changes in rotator cuff (RC) muscle in patients with shoulder pain and evaluate rehabilitation effects. Methods MRI examinations, including IVIM and FACT, and clinical scores were collected in patients with unilateral shoulder pain at baseline…
A network comparison of frailty structures among urban and rural older adults in China
Objectives Global aging is intensifying, with urban–rural differences noted in frailty prevalence and severity among older adults. However, the interrelationships between various health deficit domains in frailty and how these differ between urban and rural settings remain unclear. This study examines urban-rural influences on older adults’ frailty using a network perspective. Methods Using data from the 2018 China Health and Retirement Longitudi…

Although many studies have investigated the non-linear relationship between the built environment and rail patronage, it remains unclear whether this influence is equally applicable to primary and secondary school students due to their physiological characteristics and cognitive limitations. This study applies the GBDT model to Wuhan student metro swipe data in order to investigate the relative importance and non-linear association of the built e…

Objectives To evaluate the eye-related quality of life (ER-QOL), functional vision, and their determinants in children following congenital and developmental cataract surgery, as the impact on their families, using the Pediatric Eye Questionnaire (PedEyeQ). Materials and Methods This was a retrospective cross-sectional study involving 107 children (aged 0–11 years) with congenital and developmental cataracts who had undergone surgery, as well as …
