  • Translation, cross-cultural adaptation, and psychometric validation of the Chinese version of the Caregiver Contribution to Self-Care of Coronary Heart Disease Inventory

Open Access•Ziming He, Yuxuan Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2026

Objective This study aimed to translate the Caregiver Contribution to Self-Care of Coronary Heart Disease Inventory, version 3a (CC-SC-CHDI v3a), into Chinese and evaluate its psychometric properties after cultural adaptation. Methods Between December 2024 and April 2025, a cross-sectional survey was conducted with 278 primary caregivers of patients with coronary heart disease, recruited from cardiology departments in two hospitals in Dalian, Chi…

  • Assessment and optimization of airport operational resilience under severe weather conditions

Open Access•Yuhui Zhang, Lili Liu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of Disaster…•2026

To scientifically assess airport operational systems’ performance and resilience, we developed a comprehensive performance-indicator model based on the operational status of arrival and departure flights. In addressing limitations of conventional departure-rate metrics, we introduced the actual departure rate (ADR) alongside a resilience assessment model. We proposed an IVY-KMEDOIDS clustering algorithm to optimize airport resilience by enhancing…

  • To hack or not to hack, that is the question

Open Access•Yuhui Zhang, Laura Amo et al.•ARTICLE•Technology in Society•2026

  • How to strengthen primary health care? An exploratory study on the policy of vertical integration of high-quality medical resources based on symbiosis theory

Open Access•Linyan Zhao, Jie Du et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

Background: The Vertical Integration of High-Quality Medical Resources (VI-HQMR) is a strategy of medical resource reallocation. It is the key to strengthen primary health care (PHC) and build an integrated delivery system (IDS). It contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of universal health coverage (UHC) set out by the World Health Organization (WHO). In order to VI-HQMR, countries around the world have carried out many benefici…

  • Spectral-level assessment of light pollution from urban façade lighting

Open Access•Peiyu Wu, Wenqian Xu et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2023

  • Scaling methods of second-order latent growth models and their comparable first-order latent growth models

Zhuoyi Wen, Yifan Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2023

  • Pleurotus pulmonarius Strain

Open Access•Yuhui Zhang, Xiaohong Chen et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2023

The arsenic (As, III) and cadmium (Cd, II) accumulation and tolerance traits of a new strain Pleurotus pulmonarius MT were evaluated, and the utilization of the strain for repairing contaminated liquid and soil was explored. The hypha cultivated in potato dextrose agar (PDA) exhibited medium or high Cd accumulation (0 to 320 mg/L), medium Cd tolerance (maximum tolerated concentration, MTC ≥ 640 mg/L), medium As accumulation (0 to 80 mg/L), and hi…

  • Stanza

Open Access•Peng Qi, Yuhao Zhang et al.•CONFERENCE•Proceedings of the 58th Annual…•2020

We introduce Sta n z a , an open-source Python natural language processing toolkit supporting 66 human languages. Compared to existing widely used toolkits, Sta n z a features a language-agnostic fully neural pipeline for text analysis, including tokenization, multiword token expansion, lemmatization, part-ofspeech and morphological feature tagging, dependency parsing, and named entity recognition. We have trained Sta n z a on a total of 112 data…

  • Health system productivity in China

Open Access•Peipei Chai, Yuhui Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Health Policy and Planning•2020•References: 36

In 2009, China launched an ambitious health system reform that combined extending social health insurance scheme with improving efficiency, access and quality of care in the country. To assess the impact of the policy on efficiency and productivity change, we investigated the country’s health system performance at provincial levels during pre- and post-reform period. Outputs were measured using multiple health outcomes (namely, non-communicable d…

  • What participatory photography can tell us about immigrant and refugee women’s learning in Atlantic Canada

Susan M Brigham, Catherine Baillie Abidi et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of Lifelong…•2018•Cited by: 3•References: 27

Migration is a gendered phenomenon, embedded within patriarchal structures and social relations that extend beyond State borders. We draw on a transnational feminist framework to explore the gendered dimensions of young refugee and immigrant women’s migration and learning experiences. Ten women were involved in a participatory photography research project over a period of two years in which they took and shared photographs, and engaged in storyte…

  • The Incidence of Public Spending on Healthcare

Owen O''Donnell, Owen O'Donnell et al.•ARTICLE•The World Bank Economic Review•2007

The article compares the incidence of public healthcare across 11 Asian countries and provinces, testing the dominance of healthcare concentration curves against an equal distribution and Lorenz curves and across countries. The analysis reveals that the distribution of public healthcare is prorich in most developing countries. That distribution is avoidable, but a propoor incidence is easier to realize at higher national incomes. The experiences …
