  • The distribution, effectiveness and environmental threshold of soil aggregate phosphorus fractions in the sub‐alpine region of Southwest China

Open Access•Mengke Zhu, Bocong Huang et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2023

This article is a study of total phosphorus (TP), available phosphorus (AP) and phosphorus (P) fractions of soil aggregates along an altitude gradient in the sub‐alpine region of Southwest China. We conclude that soil aggregate TP and AP contents are higher at 3980 m and 3347 m; there are no significant differences in soil aggregate TP at any altitude ( p > 0.05); the AP and phosphorus activation coefficient (PAC) are higher in 0.25–0.5 mm aggreg…

  • The formation of small macro‐aggregates induces soil organic carbon stocks in the restoration process used on cut slopes in alpine regions of China

Open Access•Bocong Huang, Mengke Zhu et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2022

Road construction in mountainous areas of China has formed bare slopes on a large scale, which has aggravated soil erosion and carbon loss, and the restoration processes have changed soil structure and fertility. However, there are few reports regarding the differences of soil aggregate dynamics and SOC sequestration under different restoration process for cut slopes. In this study, three types of cut slopes [cut slope restored naturally (CSN); c…

  • Spatiotemporal Evolution and Driving Mechanism of “Production-Living-Ecology” Functions in China

    Open Access•Yu Chen, Mengke Zhu•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

In order to explore the spatiotemporal evolution of land use function and its driving factors in China, taking both sides of the Hu Line as an example, we used Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis and Geographically Weighted Regression methods to reveal dynamic evolution law, spatial characteristics and influencing factors of the "Production-Living-Ecology" functions of 288 prefecture-level cities on both sides of the Hu Line. The results show that:…

  • Research on Spatiotemporal Differentiation and Influence Mechanism of Urban Resilience in China Based on MGWR Model

Open Access•Yu Chen, Mengke Zhu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2021

Urban resilience in the context of COVID-19 epidemic refers to the ability of an urban system to resist, absorb, adapt and recover from danger in time to hedge its impact when confronted with external shocks such as epidemic, which is also a capability that must be strengthened for urban development in the context of normal epidemic. Based on the multi-dimensional perspective, entropy method and exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA) are used t…
