Attitudes and Persuasion
Attitudes and Persuasion provides an up-to-date overview of the crucial role that attitudes play in our everyday lives and how our thoughts and behaviour are influenced. The nature, function and origins of attitudes are examined, and a review of how they can be measured is given. The book addresses complex questions such as whether we always behave in accordance with our attitudes and what factors may influence us to change them
Love Styles, Shyness, and Patterns of Emotional Self-Disclosure

In an extension of that study with 39 men and 33 women in college (ages 18-36 years), this research shows that family relationships may also affect romantic relationships indirectly through their association with attachment styles

The Influence of Christian Name Stereotypes on the Marking of Children's Essays
It is argued that previous name stereotype research has been one-sided in focusing solely on stimulus characteristics. This study attempted to improve this situation by taking into account the christian name stereotype of both the subject and stimulus figure. Subjects marked six essays each supposedly written by a different stimulus figure. A 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 ANOVA (male vs. female subjects × attractively named vs. unattractively named subjects × ma…
