Exploring General Practitioners’ Views and Experiences of Providing Care to People with Borderline Personality Disorder in Primary Care: A Qualitative Study in Australia
The prevalence of people seeking care for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) in primary care is four to five times higher than in the general population. Therefore, general practitioners (GPs) are important sources of assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and care for these patients, as well as important providers of early intervention and long-term management for mental health and associated comorbidities. A thematic analysis of two focus groups …
Supports and hindrances to the integration of co-located services in multiple models of primary health care delivery Integration in co-located primary health care services
Introduction: In 2008 the Australian Government funded the establishment of GP Super Clinics based loosely on the UK Darzi polyclinic model. The intention was to collocate general practice and allied health services. The initiative was centred in primary care and integration between primary care and specialist medical or hospital services was not a prime objective. Three national registers were linked together for 2008. Immigrant women from Sweden, Poland, the Philippines, Thailand, Pakistan, and Russia were selected for analysis and compared with Norwegian women. Using logistic regression, we investigated whether treatment type varied by country of origin. Rates …
Is integration an add-on or a new way of working for health professionals in co-located medical practices

In the primary health sector government policy at federal and state levels has established integrated health services. Functional and operationalised integration does not spontaneously arise from colocating health professionals. Despite primary health reforms there is no pre…
Viking invasions and marginal annotations in Cambridge, Corpus Christi College 162
In the margins of Ӕlfric's ‘Ash-Wednesday’ homily in Cambridge Corpus Christi College 162, an early-eleventh-century annotator adds a remark specifying ‘invasions’ among various misfortunes afflicting the English on a daily basis. This article argues that this marginal annotation constitutes a contemporary reference to the viking raids of King Ӕthelred the Unready's reign. The article examines this marginal text in the context of Ӕlfric's homily …
Orientalist fantasy in the poetic dialogues of Solomon and Saturn
A tenth-century ‘orientalist’ fantasy informs the poetic dialogues of Solomon and Saturn and serves to screen certain anxieties about the cultural identity of the English people. By placing these poems in the context of other vernacular works circulating in the tenth century, I would suggest that anxieties about the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge, the stability of kingdoms and the efficacy of religious faith were likely to have been p…
XML and Early English Manuscripts: Extensible Medieval Literature
This article is intended to introduce literary scholars to the use of markup languages in general and the Extensible Markup Language (XML) in particular in the creation of electronic texts based on early English manuscripts. It is not a how-to, but primarily a survey of recent work. It notes the limitations of some popular markup languages, such as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML), in terms of stori…
