The role of institutions and social learning in soil conservation innovations
Eco-Planning for Eco-Town
Air quality management systems in urban regions
Ecological quality in cities
The maintained hypothesis underpinning this study is that urban development and local environmental quality are in a long-run feedback relationship. The question arises in this context to which extent the institutional framework as well as the daily planning and policy- making routines are organised accordingly. The study relies on case-studies undertaken in 10 urban regions in Europe and the U.S. The first part of the contribution provides a com…
V povezavi s tem se zastavlja vprašanje, do kakšne mere so v skladu s tem organizirani institucionalni okvir, dnevno planiranje in rutine določanja razvojne politike. Raziskava je zasnovana na primerih 10 mestnih regij v Evropi in ZDA. Prvi del prispevka je posvečen primerjavi različnih pristopov k organiziranju naravovarstvene politik…
A Choice-Theoretical Labour-Market Model
This paper contains an analysis of a multiregional labour-supply model for Austria. In the approach suggested here attempts are made to combine the advantages of random-utility-based discrete choice theory and partial reduced-form estimation. Two recursive submodels, the labour-force participation submodel, and the commuting and employment submodel, are developed. Three different types of model specifications at the mesolevel are used to analyse …

A Multiregional Labour Supply Model for Austria
Remo-An Interregional Labor Market Model of Austria
This paper presents an overview of a continuing research project which attempts to analyse regional labor market disparities in Austria by means of an econometric model. First, the structure of the labor supply and demand models is described and a set of behavioral hypotheses is stated. The supply side is modelled as a nonstationary Markov chain, where the transition probabilities are variables. A labor market segmentation is assumed to exist, wh…
