    Open Access•Alexander Grigoriev, Olga Mondrus•ARTICLE•Scientometrics•2022

In this paper, we develop and study a complex data-driven framework for human resource management enabling (i) academic talent recognition, (ii) researcher performance measurement, and (iii) renewable resource allocation maximizing the total output of a research unit. Suggested resource allocation guarantees the optimal output under strong economic assumptions: the agents are rational, collaborative and have no incentives to behave selfishly. In …

  • Exploring multi-scale variability in hotspot mapping

Open Access•Fabiënne Kortas, Alexander Grigoriev et al.•ARTICLE•Cities•2022•Cited by: 3•References: 19

This paper examines the use of varying scaling in hotspot mapping as an exploratory spatial data analysis technique. The ambiguous geographic relationships between different crime types and housing prices are used to highlight the necessity of the multi-scale approach in effective pattern recognition. Hotspot maps were created using crime and housing price data from the city of Heerlen, The Netherlands. First, insights generated from observing th…
