Predicting physical activity types in children aged 3–6 from video data using computer vision
Assessing the types of physical activity (PA) in young children is crucial for exploring their relationship with health. Although existing machine learning methods have made certain progress, there are still deficiencies in non-contact, real-time dynamic monitoring and recognition accuracy. This study aims to utilize computer vision technology to construct non-contact, real-time dynamic, and high-precision recognition models for the types of phys…
Multi-omics elucidation of HDRSD alleviating allergic rhinitis via IL-1β/TRPV1 pathway regulation
Trade Liberalisation and Industrial Agglomeration
China's manufacturing industries were rather scattered geographically, largely due to the nonmarket forces within its economy. This paper, employing a difference‐in‐difference estimation framework, finds that after China's accession to WTO in 2001, trade liberalisation, that is, import tariff cuts, significantly contributes to the increase in the geographical agglomeration of China's manufacturing industries in the 2000s. This underlying mechanis…
Productivity Gains from Trade
This paper identifies productivity gains from trade by studying the manipulation behavior of firms in response to regulatory policies on international trade in China. Bunching estimates show that participation in international trade increases firm productivity. The productivity gains increase over time, indicating dynamic learning from trading. Further exploration shows no effects on R&D investment, product rationalization, and markup. Young firm…
The welfare effects of the Belt and Road Initiative
Effects of structured and unstructured interventions on fundamental motor skills in preschool children
The “supercompensation” effect of children’s lockdown during Covid-19
After lockdown, children's PA, psychological, and sleep effects were "supercompensated." In particular, the PA of preschoolers before, during, and after the lockdown may show a "baseline-inhibition-supercompensation" process
