Can China’s national fitness policy contribute to achieving universal health? Analysis based on the three-dimensional framework
Introduction: A lack of physical activity is widely regarded as an important factor contributing to the increase in non-communicable diseases and mortality rates. To improve the physical fitness and health levels of its citizens, the Chinese government has launched the National Fitness Program (NFP) to promote public health and well-being. However, the mechanisms and performance of these policies in promoting public health still require further e…
The impact of self-regulatory fatigue on suicidal ideation in nursing students: The mediating role of experiential avoidance and the moderating role of negative life events
Self-regulatory fatigue is significantly associated with suicidal ideation in nursing students, both directly and through the mediating role of experiential avoidance. Negative life events amplify this association. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing emotional regulation and coping strategies within nursing education to reduce the risk of suicidal ideation
Coping tendencies play partial mediating role between social support and anxiety/depression among Chinese keloid patients
Coping tendency in keloid patients played a partial mediating role between social support and depression. Future studies should further explore how training in coping tendencies can enhance the effectiveness of social support to more effectively prevent and reduce depressive symptoms
Po-Ge-Jiu-Xin decoction alleviate sepsis-induced cardiomyopathy via regulating phosphatase and tensin homolog-induced putative kinase 1 /parkin-mediated mitophagy
These results suggest that the potential therapeutic effect of PGJXD on cardiac dysfunction during sepsis and support its mechanism of targeted induction of PINK1-Parkin-mediated mitophagy
The serological IgG and neutralizing antibody of Sars-CoV-2 omicron variant reinfection in Jiangsu Province, China
Background It is important to figure out the immunity of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) reinfection to understand the response of humans to viruses. A serological survey for previously infected populations in Jiangsu Province was conducted to compare the antibody level of SARS-CoV-2 in reinfection by Omicron or not. Methods Reinfection with SARS-CoV-2 was defined as an individual being infected again after 90 days of…

Nourishing social solidarity in exchanging gifts: A study on social exchange in Shanghai communities during Covid-19 lockdown
During the COVID-19 lockdown in Shanghai, we found many social exchanges within communities. In this study, we focus on exploring the driving forces behind social exchanges and their impacts on the social solidarity of local communities. Twenty-eight residents of separate communities are interviewed, and grounded theory is applied to have the motivation for social exchanges coded and analyzed. We find that reciprocal and generalized exchanges, ra…
No Differences in Wound Healing and Scar Formation Were Observed in Patients With Different Covid-19 Vaccination Intervals
Background: Safety concerns are one of the most common reasons for COVID-19 vaccination refusal. In the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, whether COVID-19 vaccination influences wound healing and scar formation is worthy of special attention. Methods: In this study, patients with adult trauma with subcutaneous sutures placed by a single plastic surgeon in a single center were included. The vaccination interval was defined as the interv…
Relevant Characteristics Analysis Using Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning Based on Phenotypes and T-Cell Subsets in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Patients With Anxiety
Anxiety is frequently observed in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and the immune system could act as a trigger for anxiety. To recognize abnormal T-cell and B-cell subsets for SLE patients with anxiety, in this study, patient disease phenotypes data from electronic lupus symptom records were extracted by using natural language processing. The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) was used to distinguish patients, and 107 p…
Favorable Lip and Oral Cancer Mortality-to-Incidence Ratios in Countries with High Human Development Index and Expenditures on Health
Countries with higher HDI, CHE per capita, and CHE/GDP tend to have lower MIRs, which indicates favorable clinical outcomes
Determinants of Vaccine Acceptance against Covid-19 in China: Perspectives on Knowledge and DrVac-Covid19S Scale
