  • Digital transformation and sustainable performance in supply chains

Open Access•Mona Sharma, Rashmi Manhas et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Futures•2026

  • Multimodal Emotion Recognition Using Audio-Text Fusion and Transformer-Based Contextual Representation Learning

Open Access•Priyanka Singh Niranjan, Rasna Sehrawat et al.•ARTICLE•ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and…•2026

The ability of the affective computing system to recognize emotions is a major aspect of the system that allows intelligent machines to detect the emotional conditions of humans during natural conversations. The complementary affective and semantic information in human communication is usually not reflected in traditional emotion recognition methods based on one modality, e.g. speech or text. In a bid to overcome this shortcoming, the work presen…

  • Ai-Generated Virtual Sculptures and Their Educational Value

Open Access•Varalakshmi S, Siddharth Sriram et al.•ARTICLE•ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and…•2025

Because of the rapid evolution of the sphere of artificial intelligence, the new direction of digital creativity has been introduced, namely, the production of the virtual sculptures made with the help of AI. These computing generated forms are generated through computational synthesis of machine learning, 3D modeling, and artistic experimentation and offer an individual with the distinct opportunities in the field of teaching art. The article is…

  • Neural Networks for Texture Simulation in Prints

    Open Access•Manish Chaudhary, Taranath N L Taranath N L et al.•ARTICLE•ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and…•2025

Computer images, material science and additive manufacturing are all important fields of study, which work together to study texture simulation in printed materials. The fine-grained reality and variety of real-world materials is difficult to represent using traditional texture creation methods based on procedural algorithms and physical modelling. This research explores the use of neural networks to simulate the textures in prints. The main focu…

  • Evaluating the Impact of Ai on Dance Pedagogy

Open Access•Manas Kumar Swain, S Simonthomas S Simonthomas et al.•ARTICLE•ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and…•2025

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to dance pedagogy is a revolutionary innovation in the process of movement competencies instruction, rehearsal, and assessment. This paper assesses how the AI-based instructional systems affect dance education by comparing them to the existing learning theory, principles in motor learning, and the kinesthetic intelligence. The proposed framework, based on constructivism, embodied cognition, and experientia…

  • Data Science for Measuring Visual Influence in Art

Open Access•Nittin Sharma, Mona Sharma et al.•ARTICLE•ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and…•2025

The paper discusses the applications of data-driven approaches to quantify visual influence in art which combines computational means with art-historical theory to identify stylistic and conceptual connections between artists and works of art. The paper investigates the way data science can give objective schemes of the artistic evolution by quantifying the visual similarities and the pathways of influence. Based on online art repositories massiv…

  • Deep Learning for Performance Assessment in Dance and Music

Open Access•Mithhil Arora, Samrat Bandyopadhyay et al.•ARTICLE•ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and…•2025

Dance and music performance quality has been a consistently debated aspect of performance that has largely been based on human judgment which is subject to bias and lack of consistency. The recent progress in artificial intelligence, and especially deep learning provides a strong alternative to objective, data-driven assessment. This paper hopes to investigate the application of deep learning models Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent…

  • Intelligent Tools for Art Educators in Management Schools

Open Access•Mona Sharma, Dhirendra Nath Thatoi et al.•ARTICLE•ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and…•2025

Smart tools are transforming the pedagogical environment of management schools through the combination of creativity, automation, and digitally enhanced learning. With the growing need of managerial education in the visual communication skills, creative problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making, the art-based pedagogies facilitated by AI, ML, AR/VR, and adaptive learning systems begin to demonstrate their power as the enabler of the multid…

  • Intra-household evaluations of alcohol abuse in men with depression and suicide in women

Open Access•Adyya Gupta, B Swarna Priya et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2015

No significant intra-household association was observed between men's alcohol consumption and women's depression, though an increasing (non-significant) trend was associated with suicidal attempts. Complex relationships between suicidal attempts and depression in women and male abusive drinking require further exploration, with an emphasis on intra-household mechanisms and pathways

  • Accelerating Malnutrition Reduction in Orissa

Open Access•Mona Sharma, Biraj Laxmi Sarangi et al.•ARTICLE•IDS Bulletin•2009•Cited by: 1

Orissa has performed better than the Indian average in terms of the rate of malnutrition reduction. This positive trend is supported by NFHS data, independent survey data and the State's own monitoring data. Despite this good news, absolute rates remain high with 40 per cent of children under five malnourished, rising to 54 per cent amongst the tribal population. Encouraging progress but recognition of a long way to go has triggered the Departmen…
