  • The Great Adventurer: David Loye’s “Hololeap” to Future Vision

    Raymond Trevor Bradley•ARTICLE•World Futures•2023

David Loye’s concept of the hololeap describes how precognitive information “leaps” across the gap between organisms to enable future vision. This maps to Denis Gabor’s energetic unit of information, the logon, wherein the spectral overlap among logons provides the means for future vision. In rediscovering Darwin’s “lost” theory, Loye found that selfless love was Darwin’s key principle in human evolution. Groundbreaking studies in psi research do…

  • Dialogue, information, and psychosocial organization

Raymond Trevor Bradley•CHAPTER•The Transformative Power of…•2004

Following a distinction between verbal dialogue and socioaffective dialogue, this chapter shows how psychosocial organization is generated by the socioaffective aspects of communication. Verbal dialogue (based on language and symbols), is shown to fit with Shannon's (1949) concept of information, reduction in uncertainty, and socioaffective dialogue (based on the arousal and regulation of affective energy) to fit with Gabor's (1946) concept, mini…

  • The anticipation of order in biosocial collectives

    Raymond Trevor Bradley•ARTICLE•World Futures•1997•Cited by: 1•References: 4

Written to honor David Loye's work on precognition and prediction, this essay presents a scientific account of the information processing mechanisms by which a social collective anticipates future order. Loye's concept of the hololeap (Loye, 1983), a metaphorical leap of information, is found to have a number of similarities to Gabor's (1946) concept of information, the logon, used in the physics of signal processing. An energy‐based elementary u…
