Traces of a church and fortress built prior to the Hungarian conquest found in a Benedictine monastery
The ruins of the former Benedictine Abbey of Zselicszentjakab can be found in the eastern part of Kaposvár, in the Kaposszentjakab district. The walls, which had previously only survived almost completely under the ground surface, were excavated in the 1960s under the direction of Emese Nagy. The archaeological park created in this beautiful natural environment is one of the finest medieval monuments in the area. The monastery’s church is of part…
A tetszetős természeti környezetben kialakított romkert a térség egyik legszebb középkori műemléke. Különös értéket képvisel a monostor temploma, amely a helyenként 2‒2,5 méter magasan álló eredeti falaival, kőfaragványaival a 11. s…

Régészeti kutatások Somogy megyében 2018–2019-ben
This study presents the archaeological fieldwork carried out by the Rippl-Rónai Museum between 2018-2019. They included plan excavations, prevention excavations and ones performed during observation. Dur-ing the archaeological works we discovered phenomena, cem-eteries and settlements from the Neolithic to the Early Modern Age. Prehistoric Age: Late Neolithic quadru…
Újabb kutatás a Kaposszentjakabi apátság templomának területén
The Benedictine abbey of Kaposszentjakab (Zselicszentjakab) was founded in 1061. Its remains were excavated by Emese Nagy in 1960–1966. Although the reconstruction of the abbey church has since long intrigued research, it is still uncertain whether the earliest abbey church had an axial or a central structure. The new excavations in 2013–2014 unearthed sections of the foundations of a church built prior to the abbey’s foundation. The remains of t…
Polscy pisarze kalwińscy a narodowy kanon literacki
We class among the Calvinist writers, who are treated in detail by the volumes of the new great polish literary history. Dunin Karwicki, J. Rybiński, A. Trzecieski Jr. P. Hulka-Laskowski was the only significant Calvinist writer in the 20th century
Mobile Learning for Mechanical Engineers
The paper presents the first stage of a pilot project, which aims to introduce m-learning in mechanical engineering education. Basic concepts and technological considerations are discussed first, together with presentation of technical solutions for an m-learning system. We use some basic assumptions and make fundamental decisions related to the applied educational methodology and the hardware, software and network solutions. While selecting stat…
Simulation and Optimisation
The main goal of simulation optimisation problem-solving process is minimising overall resources (time, money, human and technical resources), while maximising the overall information (e.g. system behaviour, sensitivity, optimal solutions) obtained in the process. The present paper gives a broad overview of the field of interest and describes new, integrative approaches for simulation and optimisation problems, using the achievements of different…
What is the Rationale of Periodization
Literary evolution in Hungary and Poland has had very much in common since the very beginning up to the present, but the division into epochs within each national literature has always been considerably different. Political changes played an important part in distinguishing various epochs of Hungarian literary history in the scholarship. Certain scholars combine the historical periods with literary movements or with spiritual movements. In Polish…
