    Open Access•Erika Gál, L Bartosiewicz et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2024•Cited by: 2•References: 4

Lynx remains are rare in archaeological assemblages. The skeleton of an adult male accompanied by four dogs was found in a large Migration Period pit at Zamárdi–Kútvölgyi‐dűlő II, Hungary. Extant lynx skeletons were used in estimating the shoulder height of this individual. Its stature is comparable to those of the large dogs it was buried with. None of the five skeletons showed skinning marks. Although the physical reconstruction of the lynx was…

  • A ságvári késő római erőd horreuma

A tanulmányban a horreum ásatásának eredményeit…

Friderika Horváth, Anett Miháczi-Pálfi•ARTICLE•Acta Archaeologica Academiae…•2019

The Somogyszil cemetery had become known in 1964, when a local resident reported the finds. The site was excavated by Balázs Draveczky uncovering 148 late Roman graves up to 1968. The whole cemetery was published in 1979 by Alice Sz. Burger. Our research agenda focuses on the spatial organization of the burial grounds used by the province’s rural population as well as on burial customs (funerary rites, grave and burial types), chronology and the …

  • Egy ritka emailos fibula Almásfüzitő vicusából

    Friderika Horváth•ARTICLE•Archaeologiai Értesítő•2007•References: 2

A dolgozatban egy Almásfüzitő vicusából 2000-ben előkerült emailos fibulát közlünk. A fibula jelentőségét képi ábrázolása adja, amelynek párhuzama Pannoniából eddig nem ismert. A fibulán megjelenő keverék lényt Cerberussal azonosítjuk, ami a fibula nemzetközi irodalomban fellelhető kutyaként, illetve tengeri szörnyként való értelmezését módosŕd
