    This study presents the analysis of a naturally mummified adult male recovered from a cemetery located adjacent to the Las Turquesas mine in the Atacama Desert.     This article examines a new dataset of radiocarbon dates that provides insights into the progressive installation of Inca infrastructure in the Copiapo Valley, situated at the southern edge of the Atacama Desert in northern Chile.
