  • Listewki skórne strefy podpalcowej stóp u ludności Polski północnej

    Open Access•Wiesław Buchwald•ARTICLE•Anthropological Review•2022•Cited by: 1

The frequencies of occurrence of patterns in five fields of the sub-toe area of soles in 1,600 men and 1,600 women from 15 voivodships of northern Poland were demonstrated. The bilateral and intersexual differences were examined and the obtained results compared with the pattern frequencies in the population from central and south-eastern Poland

  • The morphological diversity of dermatoglyphic patterns on fingers—A simple and objective method for measurement

    Open Access•Wiesław Buchwald•ARTICLE•HOMO•2015

  • A complex evaluation of the asymmetry of dermatoglyphs

    Open Access•Wiesław Buchwald, B Grubska•ARTICLE•HOMO•2012

  • Zróżnicowanie i dziedziczenie liczby listewek skórnych na kłębie i kłębiku dłoni

    Open Access•Wiesław Buchwald•ARTICLE•Anthropological Review•1994•Cited by: 1•References: 3

HYPOTHENAR OF THE PALM were determined for 260 sets of parents and 290 children. The data obtained were statistically analysed.-The traits analysed did not show any bilateral or intersexual diffe rences. The correlations between parents and children indicate genetic determination of the number of dermatoglyphs in both studied areas of the palm

  • Wewnątrzrodzinne zróżnicowanie wzorów listewek skórnych w strefie podpalcowej stop

    Open Access•Wiesław Buchwald•ARTICLE•Anthropological Review•1994•Cited by: 1•References: 5

was investigated on a sample of 700 families from northern Poland. Interdependence was measured (x2, cp), and frequencies of homo-and heterolateral similarities were calculated. Moreover, differences between pa rents and children in patterns of particular subdigital areas were investigated

  • Gęstość listewek skórnych w polach międzypalcowych dłoni

    Open Access•Wiesław Buchwald•ARTICLE•Anthropological Review•1992•Cited by: 1•References: 4

The density of dermal ridges in the interdigital fields of palm was examined on the sample of 200 adult men and 200 adult women. Bilateral and sexual differences were taken into consideration. On stating 3 cathegories of the density of dermal ridges for every sex, the correlation between the density and the total ridge count in the subdigital area of palm was examined

  • Wewnatrzrodzinne zróżnicowanie opisowych cech dermatoglificznych rąk

    Open Access•Wiesław Buchwald•ARTICLE•Anthropological Review•1985•Cited by: 2•References: 6

The occurrence of definite categories of features in children was investigated in groups created on account of a combination of these traits in parents. Equal systems of trait categories were searched for in parents and in children. The frequency of such agreement was evaluated

  • Zróżnicowanie wzorów w III i IV polach międzypalcowych dłoni

    Open Access•Wiesław Buchwald•ARTICLE•Anthropological Review•1984•Cited by: 2•References: 3

Applying the folkwing system of classification: radial loop (W), ulnar kop (1,u), loop with a triradius (D), loop without a triradius (L), whorl (W) and area without a pattern (0) palm prints of 6117 males and 617 females lifving in Northern Poland were described. Two significant differerices. between sexes were found: in females lack of patterns in the third and fourth area is more frequent on the right hand th.an in males, while in males radial…

  • Układ listewek skórnych na dłoniach u ludności Polski północnej

    Open Access•Wiesław Buchwald•ARTICLE•Anthropological Review•1982•Cited by: 5•References: 2

Palm prints of 617 males and 617 females living in the northern part of Poland constituted a material for the present study. Description of hand dermatoglyphes comprises terminations of the main lines (tab. 1) and pattern frequencies in separate morphological; regions of the palm: interdigital areas, thenar and hypothenar (see tables 3, 8 and 9 respectively). Ridge number in subdigital area has been analysed statistically (tab. 5). For homologous…

  • Układ listewek skórnych na opuszkach palców rąk u ludności polski północnej

    Open Access•Wiesław Buchwald•ARTICLE•Anthropological Review•1981•Cited by: 4•References: 3

  • Zależność pojemności puszki mózgowej od powierzchni normy bocznej i tylnej czaszki

    Open Access•Wiesław Buchwald•ARTICLE•Anthropological Review•1976•References: 1

278 male and 179 female cranials were measured with regard to actual content and, taking into account the craniometrical point outlines, lateral and posterior norms were outlined. The outlines were drawn on milimeter paper with the cranials disposed in Frankfurt's plane. The areas of the lateral and posterior norms were estimated in cm2 for each cranial, and the factors of correlation to content were calculated. The values served to establish equ…
