Housing Prices in Master-Planned Communities: Are There Premiums? The Evidence for Colon County, Texas, 1980–1991
Hedonic housing price analysis reveals that significant premiums are paid for homes in master-planned communities during business cycle upswings, but that these premiums are eroded close to the level of the cost of providing planned amenity packages during the cycle downswing.
