  • Re-evaluation of the spatiotemporal distribution of large explosive eruptions in Japan during Middle Pleistocene to Holocene: Tephra correlations and accurate age constraints from the deep-sea sedimen…

    Open Access•Yasuaki Kaneda, Yausaki Kaneda et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2026•References: 86

  • Marker Tephra Layers Indicating the Lowest Part of the Quaternary System Found in the Moroyama Hills and Kawajima Core, Western Kanto Plain, Central Japan

Open Access•Tomonori Naya, Makoto Okada et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Geography (Chigaku…•2021

Vitric tephra layers named Ushinosawa tephra from the Moroyama Hills in the western Kanto Plain, and KJT-380.5 tephra and KJT-384.15 tephra from the 600 m-long Kawajima core in the central part of Kanto Plain are described. Magnetic polarities suggest these tephra layers are intercalated at the lowest part of the Matuyama choronozone. Ushinosawa and KJT-380.5 tephra layers are characterized by low K2O concentration in volcanic glass, and can be c…

Open Access•Masayuki Utsunomiya, Chie Kusu et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2017

  • High resolution stratigraphy across the early–middle Pleistocene boundary from a core of the Kokumoto Formation at Tabuchi, Chiba Prefecture, Japan

Open Access•Masayuki Hyodo, Shigehiro Katoh et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2016

  • Sedimentary processes and depositional environments of a continuous marine succession across the Lower–Middle Pleistocene boundary: Kokumoto Formation, Kazusa Group, central Japan

Open Access•Naohisa Nishida, Osamu Kazaoka et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2016

  • Quantitative paleoclimate reconstruction based on a 130 ka pollen record from the C9001C core off NE Japan

Open Access•Manami Sugaya, Masaaki Okuda et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2016
