  • High resolution geochemical investigation of the bivalve shells ( Glycymeris sp.) from shell mounds in Jeju Island, Korea

    Open Access•J S Kim, Jin‐Soo Kim et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2015

  • Reconstruction of the Northeast Asian monsoon climate history for the past 400 years based on textural, carbon and oxygen isotope record of a stalagmite from Yongcheon lava tube cave, Jeju Island, Kor…

Open Access•Kyung Sik Woo, Hyoseon Ji et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2015

  • Textural and carbon isotopic evidence of monsoonal changes recorded in a composite-type speleothem from Korea since MIS 5a

    Open Access•Kyoung-nam Jo, Kyoung‐nam Jo et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary Research•2010

Textural and stable isotopic records of a composite-type speleothem from Gwaneum Cave in the eastern part of the Korean peninsula show prominent paleoenvironmental changes since MIS (marine oxygen isotope stage) 5a. Based on 230 Th/ 234 U dating, the speleothem experienced growth from 90.9 ± 6.5 ka to 1.2 ± 0.5 ka with several hiatuses. Four growth phases (A, B, C and D) are recognized based on speleothem type and texture. Very irregular and late…

  • The origin of erratic calcite speleothems in the Dangcheomul Cave (lava tube cave), Jeju Island, Korea
