Environmental, Social, and Governance Factors as Tools for Improving Market Efficiency
This study investigated whether superior environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices enhance corporate value and market efficiency under various economic theories. Using a multi‐country panel of 31 economies from 2015 to 2022, we find that both ESG performance and disclosure improve intrinsic value and mitigate equity misvaluation. The results show that performance exerts a stronger effect than disclosure, encouraging managers to priori…

How robot promotes production efficiency under China’s carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals
A critical analysis of the impacts of Covid-19 on the global economy and ecosystems and opportunities for circular economy strategies
Multinational life satisfaction, perceived inequality and energy affordability
Decomposition of toxicity emission changes on the demand and supply sides
This study investigated the changes in the toxicity of chemical emissions from the US industrial sector over the 1998-2009 period. Specifically, we employed a multiregional input-output analysis framework and integrated a supply-side index decomposition analysis (IDA) with a demand-side structural decomposition analysis (SDA) to clarify the main drivers of changes in the toxicity of production- and consumption-based chemical emissions. The result…
Optimal production resource reallocation for CO2 emissions reduction in manufacturing sectors
Decomposition of Toxic Chemical Substance Management in Three U.S. Manufacturing Sectors from 1991 to 2008
This study analyzes toxic chemical substance management in three U.S. manufacturing sectors from 1991 to 2008. Decomposition analysis applying the logarithmic mean Divisia index is used to analyze changes in toxic chemical substance emissions by the following five factors: cleaner production, end‐of‐pipe treatment, transfer for further management, mixing of intermediate materials, and production scale. Based on our results, the chemical manufactu…
